Cultural exchange

During the press briefing, the Greek ambassador to China asked whether China will undertake further cultural exchange with Greece. Wang Xiaohui replied:"In the report to the 18th National Congress of the CPC, Hu Jintao put forward that we should strive to develop a strong socialist culture in China. Cultural exchanges are of immense significance to the development of a nation."

China will take measures to promote the cultural exchange with Greece as well as encourage more of its citizens to travel there, according to him. The Chinese government will also call upon all concerned parties, such as cultural enterprises, to fully carry out their roles in the promotion of cultural trade.

Power transparency

The Finnish ambassador to China concentrated more on the topic of power transparency. Cui Shaopeng said:"First, we should clarify the relationship between government and market. Second, we should take the workings of power into the public sphere. Third, we should further define and intensify the roles of national congresses in (judicial) supervision, as well as strengthen mass supervision and support the news media to exercise scientific supervision."
