Zhou Kehua kept Zhang Guiying

When first getting to know each other, Zhou boasted that he was one of 2005's Ten Outstanding Young People graduating from Harvard University and owned a family enterprise which could easily make tens of thousands of yuan within minutes.

Zhang said that Zhou spent some 10,000 yuan (US$1,608) on her every week. That amounts to a total of 140,000 yuan over the course of four months.

Asked to kill together

One time, Zhou looked up holdup homicide cases online and told Zhang that all these had been his doing, after which he showed her his gun. Zhou told Zhang he was a bad man, but he would buy her an apartment and car as long as she joined him.
