A Saudi Arabian man was detained for sexually assaulting a Chinese woman in public in Changsha city, Central China's Hunan province on April 4, China News Service reported on Monday.

The 22-year-old, who goes by the name Alsubaie, was caught sexually assualting a 33-year-old Chinese woman in front of a restaurant gate at around 6 am, according a witness surnamed Yang. The perpetrator had stripped off the victim's pants by force and had removed his pants, said Yang.
Yang first notified the police and was then able to stop Alsubaie with the help from several witnesses. Footage from a surveillance camera in the area shows several people chasing and beating the woman’s attacker.
Alsubaie was apprehended by local police and later admitted to sexually assaulting the Chinese woman. He may face charges of indecent assault on a female, according the local police.
The Saudi Arabian, who is a university language major in Changsha, said he consumed alcohol prior to the incident. An investigation is still underway.
