The new uniforms incorporate a change in materials, color and decoration. Different uniforms will also be allocated for different genders, occasions and seasons.

Chinese soldiers first wore the new uniforms during the welcome ceremony held by the country's leader, Xi Jinping, to honor the visit of his Uzbek counterpart, ISlam Karimov, on Tuesday.
