In the picture, nearly half of the students can be seen falling asleep during the lecture given by Professor Wu Liangyong, who is the founder of Faculty of Architecture and design of Tsinghua University.

92-year-old Professor Wu is a respected urban planner and architect. Not only is he an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, but also the recipient of the highest award for science and technology in China.

Apparently, Wu's presentation was not interesting enough to keep the students awake in the state of the art Great Hall of the People.

Professor Wu stepped up to the podium with a cane in his hand with the help of a service staff. He was standing during the whole speech, which last 35 minutes, while staff from the Hall sat beside him in case of an emergency due to his age and health condition.

According to the report on China Youth Online's website, those who attended the lecture were freshmen's from several graduate schools in Beijing.
