Three out of a group of 20 female drug users have been sentenced to prison for drug offenses in Wenzhou, east China's Zhejiang province on Monday, according to media reports.

One was sentenced to one year in prison, and the other two were given four months for sheltering others to use drugs.

The remaining 17 members were all given administrative penalties respectively.

The group was busted while taking drugs at a night club on January 7. The members, all middle-aged women between 38 and 54, tested positive for ketamine and methamphetamine.

The suspects confessed to drug use during investigations.

The middle-aged female group started at a birthday party in January 2014, where one of them offered drugs and got others addicted.

They had been regularly meeting up and code named taking drugs as "having a sports meeting."
