A giant sculpture of a bull riding over a bear which hints at prospects in the stock market has attracted a lot of public attention in Xiamen in southeast China's Fujian Province, West Strait Morning Post reported on August 16, 2015.

The symbolism of the bull defeating the bear indicates hopes for an up-swing in the Chinese stock market that has continued to plummet in recent weeks.

The owner of the sculpture, Cai Mingchao, told journalists that he commissioned the sculpture because he thought it would bring him good luck.

Cai spent millions of yuan to build this massive bull-bear sculpture that is over 6 meters in length and stands at a height of almost 3.4 meters. It weighs over three tons.
