Four people were injured during a revenge stabbing in Northeast China's Liaoning province on Monday, local police said.

The incident happened at a shopping mall in Jinzhou city at around 11:30 am when suspect Wang Hui allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend surnamed Liu and her current boyfriend with a knife after quarreling, according to a preliminary investigation by local police.

Wang fled the scene by motorcycle and stabbed a fruit vendor after accidentally knocking over the fruit stand. He later stabbed a taxi driver after running into his car.

The four injured are being treated in hospital and are in stable condition. Police are still hunting for Wang.
