Police in east China's Jiangxi Province have captured and returned 11 wanted suspects from overseas since "Fox Hunt 2015" began in April, the Jiangxi Provincial Public Security Department announced on Tuesday.

A total of 18 fugitives from Jiangxi have fled to foreign countries including Spain, Canada, and Malaysia, authorities with the department said.

Local police have set up a special team to nab suspects as part of the operation.

"Fox Hunt 2015" is part of the "Skynet" operation and targets suspects in economic crimes, many of them corrupt officials of government departments and state-owned enterprises.

The latest campaign has emphasized that corrupt officials have no place to hide and will be found and punished even if they have fled overseas.

As of late June, more than 260 fugitives have been returned to China from more than 30 countries and regions since the operation started in April, according to the Ministry of Public Security.

In Fox Hunt 2014, 680 fugitives were repatriated to China.
