Ten people have been sentenced to prison terms of between 8 months and 7 years for their roles in the theft of 227 iPhones, 360 motherboards and 58 batteries worth about 1 million yuan (US$154,000) from the factory in which they were produced.

The defendants all worked for a subsidiary of Pegatron, one of Apple’s contract manufacturers. Their convictions were announced yesterday by the Pudong New Area People's Court.
