The midnight romp, "Live Broadcasting of Baby-making" by a user who went by the nickname "Fangzongbuji 123," was followed by about 1,000 people and generated myriad of comments and graphic screenshots on China's social websites.

The live act was blocked by Douyu TV and the user blocked after the platform received complaints from netizens.

Douyu TV, in a public announcement on its official microblog account on Weibo.com, said it had reported the user to the police.

"Users who create law-breaching content on our website will be blocked immediately," said the Wuhan-based company.

Douyu TV is best known for its broadcast of video games, but it also has contents in other categories including sport and entertainment.
