A hotel on fire in SW China, casualties unknown

A high-rise building has caught on fire at about 6:40 p.m. Sunday evening in Xichang City, southwest China's Sichuan Province.

It's reported the ground floor of the building is used as a shopping mall, while the upper rises have served as a hotel.

Local firefighters have arrived and been working at the site.

So far, the numbers of casualties and injuries remain unknown.
