The 4.2-meter long root, which is shaped like a running person, was found by a farmer in southwest China's Sichuan province.

It took the farmer and his brothers three hours to excavate the kudzu root.

According to news website scol.com.cn, the size of the 125-kilogram wild kudzu root may have set a record in China.

Kudzu roots, formally called pueraria or "ge gen" in Chinese, are commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine.
