Guangzhou has been rattled by days of heavy rain, leaving streets, subways, and even buses under water. The water level was reportedly as high as one meter in some road sections of the city.

Municipal employees have launched a clean-up operation to drain the flooded areas.

Bad drainage systems has been blamed by some local residents for the flooding.
