The black box of an amphibian plane that hit a bridge in Shanghai Wednesday, killing five on board, has been found and sent for analysis, local civil aviation authority said.

The investigation team has completed evidence collection, including retrieving the wreckage from the water, registration and weighing salvaged items, as well as video recording of the scene and data collection.

The black box has been sent to China Academy of Civil Aviation Science and Technology for analysis.

The B-10FW plane, carrying 10 people, was on its maiden flight from Shanghai's Jinshan District to Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, when it hit the bridge around midday on Wednesday.

The other five people are still receiving hospital treatment.

The plane is owned by AVIC Joy General Aviation Co. Ltd., which is the first amphibian plane operator approved to carry passengers in east China.
