The Beijing Emergency Medical Center decides to set up a branch in Tongzhou District, in order to improve the medical conditions in the city’s sub-center.

The new branch will be responsible for pre-hospital emergency medical treatment, medical rescue during emergency events, medical service during mega events and emergency training for the public. A total of 15 emergency stations will be built this year to gradually meet the increasing demands of emergency care in the district.

The district will also promote the coordination between emergency care center and hospitals in the district.

Currently, the emergency center of Tongzhou is run by the local Luhe Hospital. There are only three emergency stations, 110 employees and 20 ambulances.
