China's ecological progress after the 18th CPC National Congress

The past five years since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) have been extraordinary for the development of the CPC and China.

The following are some of the country's major achievements in the ecological field since 2012:

▪ More forests

Every year, more than 90 million mu (1 mu= 0.07 hectare) of trees have been planted.

Over the past five years, the forest reservehas been increasedby 48.95 million mu.

Currently, the country's total forest coverage is3.12 billion mu, and the forest stockis15.1 billion cubic meters.
