According to the video sharer, the incident took place on Saturday at a food court of the Pavilion shopping mall in Dalian City, Liaoning Province in northeast China.

The couple was dinning in the restaurant. The woman at first tried to use her hand to feed milk tea to the dog, but the man told her to use the restaurant's bowl to save the trouble, and she did it.

Despite being a dog owner herself, the video sharer felt the behavior extremely inappropriate and decided to post it online.

The couple's behavior provoked great public anger. "It's acceptable to take dogs to a restaurant, but it's very inappropriate to use dishware for people [to feed it]… Besides, it's a health and safety concern," read a comment on Sina Weibo, a Twitter-like social media platform in China.

"It's true that we all have our own likes and dislikes, and no one should judge, but we should also have a bottom line which shows respect to others," said another comment.
