A pangolin that had been snared by poachers is rescued in the early hours by wildlife protection volunteers in a forest in Kalimantan, Indonesia. Pangolin meat is served as a delicacy in parts of Asia, while the animal's scales are often used in traditional herbal medicines produced in China and Vietnam, all of which has pushed the species to the brink of extinction. |
