State Council appoints, removes officials

The State Council, China's cabinet, announced the appointment and removal of several senior officials Friday.

Wang Yupu was appointed head of the State Administration of Work Safety. Zhang Xiaoming was named director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, replacing Wang Guangya.

Wang Zhimin replaced Zhang Xiaoming as the director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR).

Zheng Xiaosong was appointed as head of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Macao SAR, replacing Wang Zhimin.
