Recently the online booking system for transportation by motor coach in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has launched after two years of efforts by transportation authorities, according to the Ministry of Transportation. The booking system currently covers 68 coach stations, and the number is expected to reach 100 within this year.

The integrated system between Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei Province offers booking access through a website, a smart phone application, its official account on WeChat, and ticketing machines at the stations. The system also allows cross-regional booking, supports online refunds and offers express check-in services.

The integration of transportation by motor coach and the ticketing system in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is among the key reform projects for the coordinated development of the region. The project was a joint effort by the transportation departments of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei Province, with technological support from the China Transport Telecommunications and Information Center.
