Chinese leaders attend CPC 90th anniversary gala

Chinese President Hu Jintao and other senior leaders joined an audience of more than 5,000 people on Wednesday at a gala to commemorate the 90th birthday of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Also present at the event were Wu Bangguo, Wen Jiabao, Jia Qinglin, Li Changchun, Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang, He Guoqiang and Zhou Yongkang, all members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
More than 1,500 performers from across the country staged the performance "Our Flag" at the Great Hall of the People.
July 1 marks the 90th anniversary of the founding of the CPC.
