Abstract

1. The overall picture of China's development is positive

Since the World War II, China has been the only non-industrialized nation to finish a complete industry system, and has become the fastest growing country in the world. After more than 60 years' development, China has lifted itself out of poverty and evolved into a middle-income level country. Therefore, China's development model is highly recommendable.

2. China will embrace a brighter future

After decades of development, the world is asking a new question: Is China's development sustainable and can China go further? In my opinion, China will embrace a brighter prospect. For years, China has been providing the world with low-price and quality products, but the profit margin is miserable. One of the main reasons is that China is not a dominant power in ocean transport. Things will change in the near future. Within just a few years, China has completed a mature traffic network across the country, largely due to its miraculous high-speed rail technology as well as the unbelievable building capacity. Besides, high-speed railways that link China and the Southeast Asia are under construction. China is also building a high-speed railway that connects Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region with Gwadar port in Pakistan. A much bigger plan to extend China's high-speed railway to Europe is also in discussion. Now a new Silk Road is emerging, which will surely benefit China and the countries along the Road.

3. A developing China is important to the world

Thanks to China's 1.3 billion population and its geographic complexities, China's peace and prosperity is closely related with the peace and prosperity of the world. China is now the world's biggest manufacturing country and China and the world is closely interdependent. The world's prosperity and stability is underpinned by China's development which also provides nutrients to other developing countries. Therefore, China's prosperity aligns with the expectations of the world, and it is reasonable to say that the Chinese dream belongs to the world as well as to the Chinese people.
