April 24: Diplomats and human rights experts from China and abroad on Wednesday urged foreign countries to stay out of China's Tibet issue. Human rights experts, both foreign and domestic, have refuted Western criticism of human rights in China's Tibet. Making the Dalai Lama an honorary citizen of Paris is a "very serious political mistake" by the city's mayor, former French prime minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin said on the eve of his China trip. Tibet received its first domestic tour group since the March 14 unrest on Thursday evening, another sign the region was returning to normal. (China.org.cn)
