Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met the pressĀ

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said Monday that he still faces arduous tasks ahead until the completion of his tenure in two years.

He said he will make great efforts in accomplishing the targets ahead and fulfilling his duties given the arduous tasks and complex situations in and out of the country.

"I am fully aware that my job in the coming two years is no easier than that in any of the previous ones," Wen said at a press conference right after the conclusion of the annual parliamentary session. [More about Premier Wen's press conference]

He vowed to work conscientiously "like a soldier" until the last day in office and fulfill his duties to the greatest extent.

He will devote himself to administrative issues, just like farmers tend their cherished land and work hard for good harvests.

At the press conference, Wen answered questions raised by Chinese and foreign media concerning Chinese economy, reforms, and the development of the cultural sector, among others.
