Diplomats from many countries are expressing great interest during this year's Political Season.

They are here to look for answers.

They represent the international eyes during China's most high-profile political event.

The Canadian Ambassador is no stranger to China's legislature and top advisory body.

It's his eighth time here. Besides anti-corruption and environmental issues, he thinks quality growth is key.

Canadian Ambassador Guy Saint-Jacques said, "I hope the new government would be aiming at more quality growth, there is a lot of potential for the growth to continue, which is good for China but also good to the world, because we all benefit from China being successful."

The political season gives a good chance for the diplomats to learn about China's decision-making process. Their growing concerns reflects the rising influence of China. They know what's happening here affects the rest of the world. By studying the work report, they get to know more about China.

They also have great expectations for the new leadership.

The Turkish Ambassador says he still remembers what Premier Wen Jiabao said in his work report in 2009.

He thinks implementation has been good through the years, and looks forward to the future.

"I'm pretty confident that the new administration, the new leadership would continue with that progress, I had a rather strong feeling that the continuation would be rather strong, determined and people-oriented," said Turkish Ambassador Murat Selim Esenli.

All eyes are on the leadership transition and the institutional restructuring.

How China will maintain rapid and steady economic growth is a top concern.

Minister Counsellor for the Embassy of Chile, Ramiro Riobo, said, "We see China's economic growth at eight percent yearly. China is an important player in the international trade. I think the economic reforms in China would affect the rest of world."

Peruvian Ambassador Gonzalo Gutierrez Reinel said, "I feel the need for leadership in the economic affairs is key. The stable growth for China is important, but for us is also important. As China is our major economic trading partner, as far as we are concerned, the policies regarding economic growth is key not only for our country but also for the world."

China is expected to map out an economic growth target of 7.5 percent for 2013.

The diplomats are eager to see how China plans to achieve this.

They hope the sessions will yield practical, realistic solutions and not just formal words.
