China's chief justice Wang Shengjun delivered a report on the work of the Supreme People's Court at a meeting of the annual parliamentary session on Sunday.

Here are the highlights of the report:

China convicts 5 million criminals in five years 
Chinese courts convicted and punished 5.24 million criminals from 2008 to 2012, up 25.5 percent over the period from 2003 to 2007, said the country's top judge Sunday.
