WUHAN, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- China's top-ranked tennis player Zheng Qinwen has withdrawn from the Wuhan Open as she continues to recover from right elbow surgery, the tournament's organizers announced on Friday.
The 22-year-old returned last week at the China Open but retired in the third set of her third-round match.
Zheng underwent elbow surgery in July following a first-round loss at Wimbledon. The world No. 9 missed the US Open and several other tournaments before attempting her comeback in Beijing. Enditem
