BAGHDAD, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- A member of the Iraqi paramilitary Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) was killed and two others were wounded on Tuesday in an explosion in Baghdad's southern suburb of Jurf al-Nadaf.
The PMF's Explosives Directorate said in a statement that the explosion occurred while its personnel were carrying out a "technical duty" in Baghdad.
The blast was caused by explosive materials left behind by the Islamic State (IS) group, which were stored inside one of the directorate's headquarters.
The statement confirmed that the incident has been brought under control and necessary measures have been taken. The directorate emphasized that its teams continue efforts to clear the area. Enditem
