HONG KONG, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- A fire broke out at a residential building in the Tai Po area of Hong Kong on Wednesday afternoon, injuring at least eight people, according to the Fire Services Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government.
The fire services department said that they were notified of the incident at around 2:51 p.m. local time.
Due to the fierce blaze, the department raised the alert to a No. 3 alarm fire at 3:02 p.m., and further upgraded it to a No. 4 alarm fire at 3:34 p.m., which is the second-highest level in Hong Kong's fire alarm system.
The scaffolding outside the building was engulfed in flames, and local media reported that four people were dead. Enditem
