China to face Australia, Cameroon, Curacao in 2026 FIFA Series

BEIJING, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- FIFA on Monday announced the 48 teams to take part in the 2026 FIFA Series, with China set to face Australia, Cameroon and Curacao during international match windows in March and April.

The FIFA Series is an invitational competition. The 2026 edition will feature 48 teams divided into 12 groups, including nine men's groups and three women's groups, with all six continental confederations represented.

Among the men's teams taking part, five teams, namely Australia, Cabo Verde, Curacao, New Zealand and Uzbekistan, have qualified for this year's FIFA World Cup.

The men's groups will be hosted by Australia, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Rwanda and Uzbekistan, with Rwanda hosting two groups. The women's groups will be held in Brazil, Cote d'Ivoire and Thailand.

The men's groups are as follows: Australia (Australia, Cameroon, China, Curacao); Azerbaijan (Azerbaijan, Oman, Sierra Leone, St Lucia); Indonesia (Bulgaria, Indonesia, Solomon Islands, St Kitts and Nevis); Kazakhstan (Comoros, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Namibia); New Zealand (Cabo Verde, Chile, Finland, New Zealand); Puerto Rico (American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands); Rwanda Group A (Estonia, Grenada, Kenya, Rwanda); Rwanda Group B (Aruba, Liechtenstein, Macao of China, Tanzania); Uzbekistan (Gabon, Trinidad and Tobago, Uzbekistan, Venezuela).

The women's groups are: Brazil (Brazil, Canada, South Korea, Zambia); Cote d'Ivoire (Cote d'Ivoire, Mauritania, Pakistan, Turks and Caicos Islands); Thailand (Congo DR, Nepal, OFC team, Thailand). Enditem
