BEIJING, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- The Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) will hold its 21st session in Beijing on Feb. 25 and 26.
This decision was made on Tuesday during a meeting of the Council of Chairpersons of the NPC Standing Committee, which was presided over by Zhao Leji, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee.
According to a proposed agenda discussed at the meeting on Tuesday, lawmakers at the upcoming session will review a report on the NPC Standing Committee's work, a draft agenda for the fourth session of the 14th NPC, a draft name list of people considered for the presidium and the role of secretary-general, a draft name list of non-voting delegates, and other reports.
The proposed agenda reveals that draft revisions to the law on certified public accountants and a draft fire and rescue personnel law will be submitted to the session for the first time. Lawmakers will also deliberate on a draft law on social assistance.
During Tuesday's meeting, a report on the handling of public complaints by NPC bodies in 2025 and their draft measures to further improve the working mechanism for implementing the Law on the Oversight by the Standing Committees of People's Congresses at All Levels, were also reviewed. Enditem
