BEIJING, March 14 (Xinhua) -- Jiangsu completed a perfect playoff run to reach the Chinese Women's Volleyball Super League semifinals, edging Fujian 3-2 on Saturday for its sixth straight win in Group D.
Having already secured first place after the fifth round, Jiangsu took the opening two sets before Fujian rallied to force a decider. Jiangsu then held its nerve in the fifth set to complete an unbeaten sweep of the group stage.
Jiangsu now faces a semifinal against 16-time champion Tianjin, which finished second in Group C with three wins and three losses.
Shanghai topped Group C with five wins from six matches and will meet Shandong in the other semifinal. Enditem
