XI'AN, April 26 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai Shenhua extended its winning streak to five matches with a 3-0 victory against Henan FC in the sixth round of the 2026 Chinese Super League on Sunday.
Wu Xi broke the deadlock in the 39th minute through a penalty after Joao Carlos Teixeira had been fouled.
In the 63rd minute, although Wilson Manafa's powerful shot was denied by Henan's goalkeeper Wang Guoming, Chan Shinichi scored Shenhua's second with an outstanding diving header.
When Zhu Chenjie's volley shot came back off the bar in the 70th minute, Makhtar Gueye's follow tackle shot found the net, putting the game beyond Henan FC's reach.
Also on Sunday, newly-promoted Chongqing Tonglianglong also kept its unbeaten record in CSL after a 1-1 draw with Qingdao West Coast.
Aziz Yakubu gave Qingdao the lead in the 23rd minute through a low shot, before Du Yuezheng leveled the score through a header before the break. Both teams then missed chances to turn one point into three in the second half.
On Tuesday, league leader Chengdu Rongcheng rallied past Zhejiang FC 4-0 to stay top of the standings.
In other action, Tianjin Jinmen Tigers beat Beijing Guoan 4-2, Shanghai Port smashed Wuhan Three Towns 4-0, Qingdao Hanniu shocked Shandong Taishan 4-1, Shenzhen Peng City edged Liaoning Tieren 1-0, and Oscar Maritu scored twice as Yunnan Yukun defeated Dalian Yingbo 3-1, inflicting a first league defeat on Dalian since March 14.
