SHENYANG, June 29 (Xinhua) -- Three people are confirmed dead in an explosion in a residential building in Huludao City, northeast China's Liaoning Province, according to local fire authorities.
The blast, caused by suspected leakage of liquefied gas, took place on Monday morning, and 95 firefighters and 14 fire engines were dispatched to the scene.
After an extensive search and rescue effort, all three missing individuals have been found, but none showed signs of life.
Eight people slightly injured in the blast have been sent to a hospital for treatment. The cause of the accident is being investigated. Enditem
