BEIJING, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Air China on Thursday launched a direct flight route connecting Beijing with Venice, Italy, the airline said.
The new route will operate as a round-trip service, with flights scheduled for every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
Air China said that the route will further improve its European flight network, helping strengthen China-Europe economic and trade ties as well as cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
The airline launched its first China-Italy route in 1986, linking Beijing and Rome. Today, it operates nearly 260 flights each week to 25 destinations across Europe. Enditem
