BEIJING, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building has opened new horizons in Marxist theory of Party building, highlighting a people-centered approach and a scientific mindset for the Communist Party of China (CPC) to fulfill its historical mission, according to a think tank report on the Thought released Thursday.

The report, titled "Contemporary Features and Global Significance of Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building," was jointly released by the National High-Level Think Tank of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee (National Academy of Governance) and the National High-Level Think Tank of Xinhua News Agency.

Noting that the CPC's ideals and convictions are rooted in faith in Marxism and the ideals of communism and socialism with Chinese characteristics, the report said the CPC has always shouldered the historical mission of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Established in the context of the CPC's new historical position, the Thought has offered profound insights into the Party's mission in the new era, the report said.

Upholding the Party's people-centered stance, the Thought addresses the most pressing and challenging issues facing the country's development, and underscores the importance of applying scientific methods of thinking, the report said. Enditem
