The reserves were equivalent to 11 times the currency in circulation or 88.4 percent of the Macao pataca M2 at the end of June, according to the authority.
The trade-weighted effective exchange rate index for the Macao pataca rose 0.41 points month-on-month and 0.24 points year-on-year to 100.5 in July, indicating an overall appreciation of the pataca against the currencies of Macao's major trading partners. Enditem
