BEIJING, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- China is willing to work with all parties to jointly address security risks and challenges and strengthen global public security governance, Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong said on Wednesday.
Wang made the remarks when addressing the 2026 Conference of Global Public Security Cooperation Forum, held in the city of Lianyungang, east China's Jiangsu Province.
Since the previous conference, China has actively shared its achievements and experiences in public security governance, promoted the establishment and improvement of bilateral and multilateral mechanisms and platforms, and achieved a series of fruitful results that have contributed valuable insights to global public security governance, Wang said.
Wang noted that China is willing to work with all parties to actively implement the four global initiatives, deepen the development of the forum, build consensus on stability, adhere to multilateralism, enhance governance capacity, strengthen alignment and cooperation, jointly address security risks and challenges, strengthen global public security governance, and enhance the well-being of people of all countries with tangible results.
On the same day, Wang met with member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Vietnamese Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang, Myanmar's Union Minister for Home Affairs Nyunt Win Swe, police minister of Papua New Guinea (PNG) John Pundari, and UN Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix.
