Strong quake hits Tibet

An earthquake measuring 5.1 degrees on the Richter scale hit Baingoin County of Tibet Autonomous Region, at 4:23 a.m. Thursday, according to China National Seismological Network.

The epicenter was located at 35.8 N and 88.3 E, it said.
