Four college students died after jumping off the window of their dormitory on the sixth floor at a Shanghai business school to escape fire Friday morning, Shanghai police said.

Fire broke out in a dormitory building of Shanghai Business School at around 6:10 a.m., a spokesman with the municipal public security bureau told Xinhua.

He gave no further details.

The school, located on West Zhongshan Road in downtown Shanghai, has more than 10,000 students.
