Teresa Teng was the first Taiwan singer whose songs spread among China’s youth through albums and tapes. With songs such as "Girl at South China Sea," "Small Town Story" and "The Moon Represents My Heart ", Teresa Teng became the first Chinese-language pop music idol. It was said that "Wherever Chinese songs are sung, you will hear the voice of Teresa Teng, " and she was known as “the sound of 1 billion hands clapping”.
