Shandong's Rongqing, Canadian firm to build logistics center

Shandong's Rongqing Group will team up with Canadian firm Pamoja group in a deal to create a modern cold chain logistics center in Linyi, Shandong province.

With an initial combined investment of one billion yuan (about 157 million US dollars), the firms plan to build a 100,000 sm warehouse facility, which will become Linyi's poster project for the logistics industry.

"The project will integrate current logistics resources and realize the automation of warehousing management," Linyi Deputy Mayor Liu Xiao said.

The two firms hosted a signing ceremony affirming cooperation on the deal in Linyi on Oct. 11. John McCall MacBain, the founder of the Pamoja group, Meng Jianxin, the inspector of Shandong's Department of Commerce, Gao Hongtao, deputy director of the provincial Department of Transportation, Zhang Shaojun, secretary of Linyi Municipal Party Committee and deputy mayor Liu were among attendees.
