Two Ming Dynasty palaces excavated in Shandong
Two palaces dating back to the Ming dynasty over 400 years ago, has been identified in Shandong Province. [People's Daily]


Two palaces dating back to the Ming dynasty over 400 years ago, has been identified by the Jinan Archaeological Institute after 5 months of excavation.

The Ningyang and Ninghai palaces of two noblemen lying in parallel were found this year in downtown area of Jinan, the capital city of Shandong Province.

Ningyang palace, located to the east, preserved unusually well with a clear structure.

Researchers expect this archeological finding to provide valuable historic background.
