Shandong and Heilongjiang provinces jointly established an agricultural and sideline logistics center to promote the circulation of agricultural products and byproducts between the two provinces, China Daily reported.

Located in Shangzhi, a county-level city in Heilongjiang province, the center will provide Heilongjiang locals with green farm products and various fresh seafood delivered directly from the coastal Shandong province.

The center has a total estimated building area of 15,000 square meters and 2,600 square meters of construction has been completed.

Ranking first among the provinces in the production of a variety of products, Shandong is a major source of agricultural products for China and for the neighboring countries of Japan and South Korea.
