Free medical service for lamas at Ganden Monastery

Li Suzhi, a senior commander of the PLA troops stationed in Tibet,leading a medical team of 20 doctors, visited the Sera Monastery and Jokhang Monastery on March 14th.

More than 650 monks in the Ganden Monastery, Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery have received free health check and free medical cards since March 10. Li serves as the director of the General Hospital of Tibet's Area Command of the People's Liberation Army (PLA).

The medical workers were busy providing the tests of blood pressure, electrocardiogram and B-mode ultrasonic examinations for elder monks. Besides, free medicines were handed out in the monasteries.
