PLA sends 1,500 more medical staff to quake-hit areas

The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) has sent another 50 medical teams comprising of 1,500 medical staff to the earthquake-hit areas in southwest China's Sichuan Province.

China's Defense Ministry said on Wednesday that the medial staff, who come from PLA hospitals in Beijing, Shanghai and Xi'an of northwestern Shaanxi Province, will fly to the disaster-hit areas in succession.
