HK, Macao donate for quake-hit areas

The Hong Kong government has donated 300 million Hong Kong dollars to the Quake-Relief Center. It's also donated another 50 million to Hong Kong humanitarian activities for rescue efforts in Sichuan.

Fund-raising centers have been set up on Hong Kong streets. Many people are donating money for Sichuan quake victims. Business and religious communities in Hong Kong are also active in donating money. Many indicate a willingness to go to Sichuan to assist, once the emergency stage of the disaster has passed. Donated funds have been sent to the Hong Kong Red Cross and five International Relief organizations.

In Macao, PLA soldiers stationed there have given 130,000 yuan.

In Macao, companies and the public have donated 34 million patacas, on top of the 100 million promised by the government. And PLA soldiers stationed there have given 130,000 yuan.
