China says no abnormalities have been discovered in the Three Gorges Dam after Monday''s powerful earthquake in Sichuan province.

China's Three Gorges Project Corporation says the dam, as well as the main structures in the project, including the five-tier ship lock were not affected by the quake.

Authorities say installation of the remaining four turbo-generators on the right bank is under way and will go on as planned. The construction of the ship lifting facility was temporarily suspended due to concerns for worker safety. But construction work resumed on Tuesday.
