Power came back on at water companies, hospitals, disaster relief headquarters, temporary medical treatment sites and public security buildings late on Friday evening. Meanwhile, the main road to Wenchuan is blocked again after more landslides triggered by aftershocks.

The Ministry of Transportation says an aftershock measuring 6.5 jolted Wenchuan on Friday afternoon, making the re-opened western route impassable again.
